Below are the current Resource Recovery totals for our five schools. All collected food waste is processed on site using hot compost and vermicomposting technologies. These figures are from January 1, 2018, to the current end-of-week date, November 2, 2018.

Ka’ohao – 12,271 lbs
Ka’elepulu – 12,597 lbs
Kainalu – 22,609 lbs
Enchanted Lake (ELES) – 10,498 lbs
Kailua Intermediate (KIS) – 7,797 lbs

2018 TOTAL for the WZWS Hui: 65,772 lbs, or 32.9 tons

We have now exceeded our 2017 total of 63,490 lbs (31.7 tons)!
